The Honorable Robert J. Lunn, a partner of the Firm, was admitted to the New York State Bar and Federal District Courts in 1975. He graduated rom the University of Rochester in 1969 and Cornell Law School in 1974. Justice Lunn, formerly an Assistant District Attorney in Monroe County from 1976 through 1977, was elected to the New York State Supreme Court in 1994. In August 2005, he was appointed by New York Governor Pataki to the Appellate Division of Supreme Court, Second Department, and in December, 2006, he was appointed by the Governor to the Appellate Division, Fourth Department. He re-entered private practice in 2008.

Justice Lunn is a past member of the New York Pattern Jury Instructions Committee. He has lectured on trial matters for the New York State Bar Association and local bar associations. He is a contributing author to three publications by Reuters Thompson (formerly West Publishing) and a bi weekly columnist for the Daily Record. Justice Lunn is also involved in the community as a frequent guest lecture to area bar associations and high schools, while remaining a member of the boards to multiple charitable organizations.

In his 17 years of private practice, and prior to being elected to the Supreme Court bench, he had a general practice with an emphasis in personal injury litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He presently maintains not only an extensive personal injury and matrimonial practice, but works in the areas of mediation, consulting and arbitration. He has served as an expert witness in both federal and state courts, and is a present member of the Monroe County Bar Association, New York Bar Association, and past member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
